Changing the Balance / Maryland Public Television I was hired by FableVision to design a website for Maryland Public Television, to be used in schools as a learning tool for Middle School aged children about climate change and global warming. The logo and icons evolved as part of my design. The user has two choices of how to navigate through the digital assets, videos and animations - the main navigation, or through a mock Blog, written by a fictional character who has gone to Kenya to learn more about climate change. Ruckus Media Group I was hired by FableVision to be the lead designer for the Ruckus Media Group iPhone and iPad applications. The project included working on a team to design the user interfaces, laying out the readalong screens, and creating designs for the text boxes. I was also hired to design a brand icon to be used for all of the apps, as well as a “Giveaway” promotional logo to be placed all of the start screens. © 2011 Ruckus Media Group Inc. Alison Wood / Fairytale Endings Aside CD packaging. Alison was open to design ideas for her CD entitled Fairytale Endings Aside. I wanted to come up with a romantic image where age is of no matter. When presented with the idea of a ferris wheel for the cover, a romantic symbol, blurring the line between young and old, Alison was on board. I explored different stock photos of ferris wheels until I found one we were both pleased with. Color alterations were necessary, as well as a treatment to give it a feeling of nostalgia. You can see the original photo at the bottom of the page.
